TGIF

Its Friday arvo and here am i, lazing at this quaint lil tea joint along Seah St, with CTW fervently chronicling his busy schedule on his trusty little diary, whilst sipping the exclusively concocted brew of Earl Grey, sitting across me.

On a not quite totally random note, the Iced Pomelo Tea that i finished seconds ago, tasted every bit like Orangina, which led me to wonder, why was my bloody tea carbonated anyway?! The only thing that differentiated itself from my fav junk drink of all time, is the CRAZY $10.00 price tag it bagged.

So i asked for it, BUT BUT BUT! For a tall drink that warranted $10 moolah, the least they could do is add on that exotic zing. NO?

Oh hang on. Maybe tts why they added the bubbles. For that additional zingy zest!

-.-

Rite, nuff' of that. Still, i slurped it all up to the very last sip snd because we'll prob be here for an infinite amt of time, (dude looks like he's damn settled in lor), i got myself another Pineapple Tea.

Which btw, isnt carbonated.

Anyways...

I've officially ended my stint with MPB, though it shdnt exactly be classified as a stint, since i've been there for almost a yr n half now, but well, u peeps get da drift.

It's a bittersweet affair, really. While the place brought me many fond memories through the most endearing moments, it's also the very same grounds that led me to my deepest nightmares and the most daunting heartaches.

O wells.

Every closure brings on new openings i guess.

K, T's here and we're off to clarke quay for that urm, topsy turvy spin ride!

Shortchanged.

I've been following up on some blogs recently and the incidents mentioned have very much helped me put things into perspective.

Perhaps one day, i'll find the courage to do the same.

Perhaps by then, it wouldn't have mattered anymore.

Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.

The Weekend.

Urmmmm...

Hmmm...

Weekend Chronicles:

The weekend buzzed by in a flurry!

Arena was heaps fun. Company was awesome and the spin was hypnotising. We shd start paying weekly pilgrimages, period.

Zirca was pathetic. *Yawnz*

Joe mentioned over the post club mandatory chatter meal that i should start referring to him as IT, which i got accustomed to, almost instantly - without a hitch.

Sat was gd. The drizzle alleviated the headache induced by one too many shots of Tequila. Slept the whole arvo away before waking up blurry eyed to get changed & headed for brunch. Brunch was a cozy affair. We took our time to eat, chat and read. Drove into JB later in the evening to meet up w the guys @ the bridal boutique. J&D are tying the knot! 7 yrs us indeed a long time (no pun intended!) and you guys have come a long way. *Hugz*

Headed for seafood once they were done haggling with the persistent sales chap @ the boutique. Dinner was mediocre prob because i was still stuffed from the earlier pasta. Took off after that and met up with e rest of gang back in Sg. Was totally knackered out by then. I gobbled half a mcgriddle before finally hitting the sheets @ 5. I had a pathetic 4 hr slp window before i was due to drag myself for a work shift at Natas e next morning. Brilliant.

Expectedly, I arrived @ Natas all grumpy & groggy. The kopi-0-ping did help soothe the mood a little, though i was really craving for Sweetalk instead *wry smile* Thanks anyway! =)

ok tt pretty wraps up my weekend. Adios!

RRRant

Couple of rants:

1) Sheryl handed me the unredeemed BOLT plushy on Weds! Gd things come to those who waits *hearts*

2) Got a free set of tickets to Cinderella on Weds too. That i didnt wish for but rejecting perks of the media could be quite blasphemous, no?

3)Went for K with the girls last evening and found that they added the Raymond Lam duet. *sighs*

4) In the same evening, tripped over some mic cords & suffered a dramatic fall - face/knees/hands down - with the bruises forming IMMEDIATELY. *Cringes*

5)Crept onto Ivan's van to hitch a ride to AMK hub for lunch on Weds. I am not elaborating further even if you're paying me.

6) Went back to Liang Court during lunch ystd to satisfy my Jap curry craving and was slumped to find that the to-die-for custard filled pancakes are no longer for sale. Haiz.

7) Publishers are still driving me up the wall with their incredulous demands. Nothing's change. Doubt it ever will. Actually this has led me to wonder. If i'm tasked with the duty of handling their marketing initiatives... WHAT DA HELL ARE THEIR MKTG TEAMS DOING?! Nothing decent i s'pose. *Snorts*

8)Today's Friday & I'm feeling every tick of it. The strain. I'm thinkin of heading home during lunch to give Sash a bath. Everyone's all praises for the new shampoo i got her & that has got me terribly excited about the same line of conditioner which i picked up last week. Love the smell of Lavender on her. Then again, i *heart* Lavender anytime. Its the scent of my shower bath, my talcum, my anti-perspirant, my hand & nail cream, my body butter & the dehumidifier in ma room & now my beloved pooch! *Sniffs Sniffs*

9) Maybe i'll jus head hm for a quick nap. I'm slpy from the earlier night of relvery.

10) I must haf at least 5 sets of 2009 calendars on my desk, excl the Simpsons one which is pinned up on my left partition. Thankfully, none of them are the fugly insurance/realty ones so if you're ever in need of a calendar, please come asking; esp. so if you're star struck.

The concluding post of 2008.

I know I know... It's been a while & the cryptic music videos don't really seem to work for you isnt it?

So anyway, just a couple of rants.

Ho Chi Minh turned out pretty much the way i expected it to be, with the exception of the horrific traffic conditions. Getting jolted awake by an overstretched horn at 4am in the wee hours of Sat morning wasn't exactly my idea of a stress-free getaway, and neither were the brash attempts at crossing the streets that had me clinging onto my dear life each time i had a foot set onto the cobbled roads.

Still, a holiday IS after all a holiday so taking things in my stride did help soothe the irate mood a lil'. Having said that, not all was bad. Food for sure, was a redeemimg factor. The galore of pho, spring wraps & broken rice had me filled to the brim at every meal and it left me craving for more even upon reaching home grounds.

X'mas was spent over some rounds of bubbly & wine with a couple of chums over @ The Wine Company down Evans Road. Despite the drunken stupor caused by one too many clinks of wavering glasses, i was able to figure out that the importance of satisfying our palettes preceded that of gettin ourselves sloshed silly. The (seemingly) endless serves of Sausage platters, Funghi pizzas, filled Tofus, to-kill-for Molten lava cakes did the trick for me; perfectly complemented with some endless rounds of tear-inducing laughter toasting to the most ludicrous of causes.

On a not-quite-totally-unrelated-note:

Im freaking broke! I've been spending like crazy crazy for the past month. I know I know, its no wonder why when i've got myself a spanking new Ixus, went on a getaway to Ho Chi Minh & back, fufilled x'mas shopping list, headed on a spontanous roadtrip to Malacca, paid for my upcoming accomodation in hkg, set aside a token for a gf's wedding, paid my earlier credit card bills etc etc etc...

GOSH! AND THIS IS NOT THE END!!!

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

On a brighter note, it's NYE in a matter of hours and we've got plans lined up all da way till 2009! Hur.

Rite.

Cheers to the New Year people!
